In the 2025 financial year, KfW’s financing volume abroad totalled EUR 29.8 billion. There was strong demand in the areas of climate action, digital infrastructure and innovative technologies. Financing for renewable energies, the protection of biodiversity and the considerate use of natural resources were also important topics. In developing and emerging economies, the focus was on economic and social development, the creation and maintenance of peace and safety, infrastructure development and sustainable urbanisation.
