Since July 1st, 2021, you can apply for the development loan of the federal funding for efficient buildings – for the construction or purchase of a new efficient house.
The Federal Ministry of Economics and Climate Protection has adjusted the federal funding for efficient buildings: For the construction and purchase of a new efficiency house, maximum loan amounts and repayment subsidies were adjusted.
Has an application already been submitted to KfW by the end of July 27th, 2022? Then you are not affected by the changes.
For all those who
We define an efficiency house as an energy standard for residential buildings. Anyone who achieves an efficiency house level 40 with sustainability class can receive funding for this.
Requirement: You must have the Sustainable Building quality seal.
We support you with a loan with a repayment grant.
The maximum loan amount is EUR 120,000 per residential unit if your property achieves efficiency house level 40 with sustainability class. You will receive 5 % of this amount, i.e. a maximum of EUR 6,000, as a repayment subsidy.
Good to know: We also subsidize acoustic planning and the sustainability certification of a new building with the Sustainable Building quality seal.
Mandatory for promotion: For the expert planning and construction supervision of an efficiency house, you need the support of an energy efficiency expert.
Good to know: We subsidize construction supervision with an additional loan amount and repayment grant. You can apply for funding for construction support directly together with your loan.
All energy efficiency experts who are listed in the expert list for federal funding programs at the German Energy Agency are eligible.
For everyone who wants to buy or build a new house or a home to live in themselves.
Land acquisition and construction costs or purchase price including ancillary costs such as notary public and real estate agent fees, land transfer tax and purchase of cooperative shares to obtain membership of a housing cooperative.
Up to EUR 100,000 can be financed with the KfW loan. Funds from this programme may always be applied for additionally to finance the acquisition of owner-occupied housing.
