In its day-to-day banking operations, KfW Group aims to reduce its environmental footprint. To this end, the operating organisation should be designed in the most resource-efficient way possible—for example by using less paper and water and by deploying renewable energy. In procurement, its commitment is centred on respect for human rights and compliance with environmental and social standards. These are embedded in KfW Group’s sustainability requirements for procurement.
Detailed information on KfW’s environmental performance—including data on energy, emissions, paper, transport, water and waste—as well as on sustainability aspects in procurement can be found in the current Supplementary Information on the KfW Group’s Sustainability Commitment.
