Green Week

The International Green Week, that takes place every year in Berlin, is the world's biggest exhibition of the food, agriculture and gardening industries. These topics are also part of KfW's activities, as the bank is committed to the fight against poverty and for food and nutrition security around the globe. In Zimbabwe, for example, a tea merchant from Middle Franconia works with local partners on the organic cultivation of herbs, spices, medicinal and aromatic plants; in Ethiopia, farmers are supported in the fight against erosion; and the company SeedForward makes plants more adaptable to water and soil shortages thanks to an innovative coating on the seeds.
