Digitalisation in Africa

Digitalisation holds huge opportunities for Africa. In our series Technologies of the Future, we present digital services and systems that are already improving the lives of millions of people on the continent. For example, in Ghana, where even the poor rural population can withdraw cash thanks to the digital payment system e-zwich. Or in Kenya's capital Nairobi, where the smart biogas supply chain from KOKO Networks is helping to reduce the use of coal and petroleum for cooking.
