Financing as a prerequisite for investments in the future

When working with KfW IPEX-Bank, German and European exporters benefit from its wealth of experience and in-depth industry knowledge, with well over 3,000 financing transactions for a total volume of more than EUR 160 billion successfully concluded since 2008. In addition to the environmental and energy sectors, these include basic industries, automotive and mechanical engineering, retail, and the pharmaceuticals, speciality chemicals, health and telecommunications sectors. Within transport and infrastructure, the bank focuses on its sector departments Maritime Industries, Aviation, Mobility & Transport, as well as Infrastructure.

KfW IPEX-Bank ensures compliance with high environmental and social standards and the use of state-of-the-art technologies in all its financing decisions, whether for a wind farm, participation in a European PPP project or the modernisation of a petrochemical refinery.

Future-oriented product portfolio

As an effective project and export financier, KfW IPEXBank continually adapts its offering to meet future market requirements, while developing new solutions to support investment projects in Germany and Europe. Its customers benefit from the bank's continuous increase in structuring expertise and constantly developing a product portfolio that is fully tailored to customer needs.

As a reliable and competent partner to both customers and other banks and institutions with which it collaborates to jointly finance large projects, KfW IPEX-Bank is present in markets important to the German and European export economy. KfW IPEX-Bank serves its customers via nine representative offices around the world as well as a branch office in London, consciously also extending support to customers in countries where access to finance is difficult.

Despite a stable global economy, the situation in some emerging economies was characterised by uncertain political conditions in the past financial year. This had an impact on investor confidence in these countries and thus on their conditions for raising medium and long-term finance. However, the emerging markets on the whole confirm their role as one of the growth drivers for the global economy. Overall, the German and European export industry still had sales opportunities in which KfW IPEX-Bank could support its customers as a reliable partner with a long-term approach.
