KfW increases funding target for 2023
In the first nine months of the year, KfW raised funds equivalent to more than EUR 75 billion on the international debt capital markets. Due to the good business performance this year, especially at the subsidiary KfW IPEX-Bank, and increased liquidity needs, KfW is raising the planned funding volume for 2023 by EUR 5 billion to around EUR 90 billion. The proceeds also serve as prefunding for the expected liquidity needs next year. In light of the increased funding volume, KfW plans to raise around EUR 15 billion on the international debt capital markets in Q4 of this year, including the EUR 3 billion 3.25% Green Bond due March 2031 to be settled on 4 October 2023.
