German SMEs report lower business situation assessments but the outlook is a bit less pessimistic
In October, the business climate in the German SME sector dropped marginally and thus remains on a level that indicates an average business situation. Slightly less pessimistic expectations for the future led to a more stable sentiment at the start of the autumn quarter. But situation assessments are deteriorating. This month, positive signals came from large enterprises, which finally pulled out of their confidence nosedive.
