Deterioration of sentiment is spreading to more and more parts of the economy
Good news was in short supply for the German economy in February as well. SME business confidence fell for the fifth consecutive month. What is concerning is that the deterioration is no longer confined to the typical export sectors but is increasingly spreading to domestically oriented sectors of the economy that were still quite immune to the trend in the past few months.
