SMEs are feeling uneasy about the new year
SME business sentiment remains on a downward trend. The outlook for the new year in particular is quite sober but current business remains outstanding. Steady hiring plans and rising sales price expectations are sending out positive signals on the future development of the domestic economy. Unless the acute risks of a no-deal Brexit or higher US tariffs on European automobile imports materialise, the German economy should continue to grow at a decent pace.
