Ethiopia – from land of famine to land of hope?
Ethiopia is one of the world’s least developed countries. Still, it has recorded astonishing development progress for over two decades. Targeted investment in healthcare, education and employment has improved living conditions and initiated a rapid decline in birth rates. Its participation in the ‘Compact with Africa’ underscores the country’s development strategy of generating employment and prosperity by promoting the private sector.
