KfW Credit Market Outlook September 2017

New lending to businesses and self-employed persons in Germany has grown at the fastest pace since the financial market crisis. In the second quarter of 2017, it expanded at a rate of 4.8 % year-on-year. The revival is driven by Germany’s robust and sustained upturn, which is encouraging businesses to invest more as financing conditions remain favourable. The outlook for corporate lending business thus remains bright for the foreseeable future.
