KfW concludes global loan agreement for leasing investments with grenke

  • EUR 200 million for small and medium-sized enterprises and larger SMEs
  • Promotion of investments in digitalisation, climate action and infrastructure at attractive leasing terms

Companies can now lease important investments on favourable terms. As part of the "Global Loans Leasing” programme, KfW and grenke AG have signed a global loan agreement for EUR 200 million for selected lease financings.

KfW will provide global loans to leasing companies and banks through the promotional programme, which are used to promote German SMEs. Small and medium-sized enterprises as well as mid-sized companies based in Germany with annual turnover of up to EUR 500 million benefit from attractive leasing terms. Selected investments are eligible, in particular in digitalisation, climate action and infrastructure.

Melanie Kehr, Member of the Executive Board of KfW responsible for domestic promotional business:

"The competitiveness of our SMEs depends on entrepreneurial action and targeted investments. Flexible and attractive financing offers are essential for this. Together with grenke, we are making it possible for German companies to make urgent investments particularly quickly and easily via liquidity-conserving leasing. This secures their future viability and is also a valuable impetus for the key development areas of digitalisation, climate action and infrastructure of our country."

Dr Sebastian Hirsch, Chief Executive Officer of grenke AG:

"Leasing is an important financing instrument eligible for promotion - together with KfW, we are sending this strong signal not only to SMEs, but to the entire German economy. With our programme, we now offer the benefits of state funding for smaller investments as well. Especially in the current difficult overall economic situation with high transformation and cost pressure, companies need such simple, fast, unbureaucratic and reliable financing offers."
