• Around one third of the energy consumption of all buildings is attributable to non-residential buildings.
• Production processes consume around 25% of the total amount.

KfW Energy Efficiency Programme – Energy-efficient Construction and Refurbishment:

• Holistic promotion of buildings using federal budget funds implemented. Well known KfW Efficiency House system used in residential building promotion adopted
• Repayment bonuses from BMWi funds: up to 17.5% for building refurbishment; up to 5% for building construction
  

KfW Energy Efficiency Programme – Production Facilities and Processes:

• Promotion of energy-efficient production facilities and processes (using KfW funds) improved. New promotional logic applied with introductory and premium standards: the greater the energy savings, the lower the interest rate. High standards were set, particularly with the premium standard (30% energy savings).
