New momentum for Hamburg-based companies: IFB Hamburg and KfW launch regional programmes for digitalisation and innovation

  • Global loan agreement for EUR 13 million from the “ERP promotional loan for digitalisation” and “ERP promotional loan for innovation” programmes
  • Immediate launch of two new regional programmes

In cooperation with KfW and IFB Hamburg, the city of Hamburg is now opening up new financing opportunities for companies to invest in digitalisation and innovation through the new regional programmes “Hamburg-Kredit Digital” and “Hamburg-Kredit Innovation”.

The loan programmes are based on KfW’s “ERP promotional loan for digitalisation” and “ERP promotional loan for innovation” programmes launched on 1 July. As part of a global loan cooperation, IFB Hamburg is taking over the management of the regional programmes. Besides exemptions from liability and consultancy services, the bank is also offering a grant in the Hamburg-Kredit Digital programme. KfW is making EUR 13 million available to cover the financing needs of the new regional offer.

The new programmes offer companies a versatile financing option with a minimum loan amount of EUR 25,000. They are open to self-employed professionals, sole proprietorships and small and medium-sized enterprises.

The initiative strengthens the competitiveness of Hamburg-based companies. Together with the federal states and their promotional institutions, KfW is supporting the regional presence and innovative strength of local entrepreneurs.
