Digitalisation activity in the SME sector defies the economic downturn. The key findings of the current KfW SME Digitalisation Report are as follows:

• Thirty-five per cent of businesses have recently completed digitalisation projects, a sharp increase from before the COVID-19 pandemic
• Digitalisation expenditure has also risen again
• The digital divide between large and small SMEs, however, is widening
