Promotional loan available again in the amended federal programme to promote energy and resource efficiency in the commercial sector
With immediate effect, KfW is now again accepting applications for loan programme 295, “Federal funding for energy and resource efficiency in the commercial sector”. Through this programme, KfW is promoting especially climate-friendly components, systems and solutions in companies. In addition to the previous repayment bonuses, the programme now includes interest rate reductions (launch on 18 April), which are financed by the budget of the German Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Climate Action. This was stopped in 2023 November as a result of the German Federal Government’s temporary budget freeze.
With the launch of the programme, the amended German federal funding directive will also come into force. This simplifies the application process, so companies can expect a much faster commitment to funding for investments in decarbonisation. In addition, the exact promotion level can be better predicted before the application is submitted. Unlike before, it is no longer compulsory to calculate specific “additional investment costs” (“Investitionsmehrkosten”). Instead, the promotion can be granted directly pro rata to the total investment costs.
Further information on the promotion is available at www.kfw.de/295 in German language.
