Business Survey 2018

Credit market sentiment remains strong

Together with 20 trade associations, KfW Group has carried out a business survey on bank behaviour and financing for the 17th time.

The most important findings are:

  • Financing climate amongst German businesses is again at an all-time high
  • Share of businesses reporting problems with access to finance at a low
  • Bank loans remain an important source of finance but: fewer businesses participate in loan negotiations
  • Businesses are concerned about a shortage of skilled workers and a weakening economy
