Launch of programme to promote battery storage for photovoltaic systems

KfW has developed a programme together with the Federal Ministry for the Environment, Nature Conservation and Nuclear Safety (BMU) to promote small batteries for photovoltaic systems. The programme will comprise reduced interest-loans from KfW funds and a repayment bonus from BMU funds. The programme is to be launched on 1 May 2013. BMU is currently making the final decision on the release of the grant component and the programme's launch date. Thereafter, KfW and BMU will provide detailed information on the programme conditions.
