In recent decades China and India have made remarkable economic progress. However, this has created a variety of problems and both countries have made mistakes in economic policy. Now they need to take decisive action, for instance in social, physical fiscal and environmental policy and in expanding their infrastructure in order to embark on a path of sustainable development.
