The procurement unit supports these requirements and has established a dedicated team for the purchase of marketing and communication services. This team buys services from agencies, marketing professionals and photographers as well as advertising products, print products and information material. The spectrum encompasses concepts from agencies, the staging of events, the commissioning of market research organisations and the provision of information in printed and electronic form within the company.

Good terms, high quality

The particular challenge is to define objective criteria for the valuation of creative services so that the relevant contracts can be awarded in a fair competition. The experienced purchasing team is able to do this through the application of standardised evaluation criteria and in close collaboration with the requesting department.

To ensure competition, framework agreements are put out to tender, sometimes across Europe. In addition to good terms and a transparent procurement process, the quality of the service or the product is of primary importance.
