Social Responsibility

Entrepreneurial activities and social responsibility go hand in hand - in particular for KfW Group with its legal mandate to foster economic and social change and contribute to improving the quality of life. The prospects of humanity are inseparably linked to demographic change as well as climate and environmental protection and resource conservation.

Therefore KfW strives to not only take global responsibility in implementing its corporate policy mission but also national and local responsibility in its social commitment. In this context the bank's prominence and experience from selected partnerships is to be applied towards raising public awareness on the need to treat natural resources respectfully and to strengthen a pluralistic and critical civil society.

In the framework of its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR), KfW developed four strategic priorities to support the areas "KfW locations" - "employees" - "customers" and "environment" through sponsoring, donations and other measures.

KfW Stiftung

Since 2013 KfW Stiftung bundles the corporate social responsibility activities of KfW – acting independently and sustainably.
