German SMEs divided over possible consequences of a hard Brexit

It is still possible that the United Kingdom will leave the EU without an agreement. But the majority of small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in Germany are keeping their cool. Only one in four expect a hard Brexit to disadvantage them. Besides the fear of losing sales markets, concerns about the German economy also play a role here. Some enterprises, especially in the services sector, actually believe they could benefit from a no-deal Brexit. Only few SMEs have so far made arrangements for a possible hard Brexit.
