SMEs’ optimism rebounds sharply
In August, sentiment among SMEs improved for the second consecutive month. The improvement is largely due to companies’ noticeably more optimistic outlook on the future. It was likely nurtured by the truce in the trade conflict agreed between Trump and Juncker. However, this means that businesses’ expectations for further progress on global trade issues are also quite high.
