SME business sentiment: the euphoria is gone as downward risks increase
In May, business confidence in Germany’s SME sector deteriorated for the fourth consecutive month. It fell by one point to 13.9 balance points, mainly because of lower business expectations. The protectionist stance of the US administration and the political situation in Italy pose higher risks to the economy.
