KfW Achieves „A“ Marks in PRI‘s Assessment Framework 2016

As a signatory to the PRI (PRI: Principles for Responsible Investment; ) KfW has reported about its strategies and progress in implementing the six Principles in the context of the obligatory PRI Reporting Framework 2016. KfW has signed the PRI in 2006. By doing so, KfW has committed to integrate ESG criteria (Environment, Social, Governance) in the investment approach, to encourage other market participants to invest sustainably and to report on its sustainability activities ().
KfW reports on the liquidity portfolio, the Green Bond portfolio and the ABS promotional portfolio. Each portfolio is managed according to a sustainable investment approach. As a pure Fixed Income investor, KfW has responded to the relevant modules „Strategy & Governance“, „Fixed Income – SSA“ „Fixed Income – Corporate Financial“ and „Fixed Income – Securitised“.
The figure shows that KfW achieved the second best mark „A“ in all four modules. “A” means that a signatory has scored 76%-94% of the respective module. The results are shown for KfW in comparison to its peers, i.e. the median of all 1061 signatories that have participated in the PRI Reporting effort.
