Career history of Dr Jörg Zeuner, Chief Economist of the KfW Group

Date of birth: 20 August 1971

Dr. Jörg Zeuner was Chief Economist at KfW from September 2012 to April 2019. Having gained a Master of Science in Economics at the University of Glasgow, he then went on to complete a PhD in Economics at the University of Würzburg. Alongside his PhD, he was able to gather international work experience at the Korean-German Chamber of Commerce and Industry, KfW and the World Bank in Ethiopia. Following this, he worked at the International Monetary Fund in Washington DC for almost 10 years, before becoming Chief Economist at VP Bank in Liechtenstein in 2008. Since his return from Washington he has lectured at the universities of Bochum, Konstanz and St. Gallen.
